Program Director Approval
 
  • MENTOR: Spends 1 hour (minimum) per week with selected protégé at Street Tech, talking about progress in the program, offering advice, assisting in job placement, and lending an attentive ear. Mentors are also encouraged to take their protégés on field trips and to their workplace as appropriate. Requirements: 2 hours of training.

  • TUTOR/TRAINING ASSISTANT: Tutors work in the classroom 3 hours (minimum) per week. They assist the managing trainer, and answer students' technical and curriculum-related questions. Requirements: 2 hours of training and previous computer experience.

  • VOLUNTEER SPEAKER: Shares personal experience in the hi-tech industry or life history with Street Tech students, or discusses relevant life or professional skills topics.
