Students who enroll in this program will participate in a very intensive 14 week training program that prepares students for the IC3 certification. The IC3 certification provides proof that students are equipped with the necessary computer skills needed in a digital world, capable of using a broad range of computer technology, and ready for what the employment world expects. The IC3 covers 3 major categories: Computing Fundamentals, Key Applications and Living Online.

This course is a 22 week 330 hour course designed to provide students with a broad base as well as hands on knowledge and competency in core hardware and operating system technologies including installation, configuration, diagnosing, preventative maintenance, and basic networking. Included will be diagnosing and methods of troubleshooting all areas of microcomputer hardware. Differentiation between hardware and soft ware failures and compatibility will also be discussed.
